Nancy Ikehara

Nancy Ikehara graduated from Idaho State University with a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2018. Nancy previously worked with the adult population in clinics, skilled nursing facilities, a critical access hospital, and an acute care hospital. Nancy adult experience includes working with patients with dysphagia, aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, cognitive impairments, and patients requiring AAC. Her pediatric experience includes working with children in clinics as well as in a school setting working with preschool and school-aged children on articulation, expressive-receptive language, AAC, and fluency. Nancy’s interests include language, cognition, and dysphagia.  She also has side interests in research and mindfulness. Nancy loves working with both the pediatric and adult population. In the past, she has volunteered for hospice and helped coach a special needs cheerleading team. 

She has completed continuing education courses on Lee Silverman Voice Treatment LOUD (LSVT LOUD) and McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP).

Nancy hails from Hawaii originally, and loves to hike, travel, and eat.  She also loves to cook and enjoys watching baking shows. She is excited to be a part of the Speak Easy Rehabilitation Team.
