Julie Wilson, COTA/L

Julie is originally from Greenville, NC where she attended East Carolina University, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Services. She earned her Associates degree in Occupational Therapy at Durham Technical Community College and is certified by the National Board of Occupational Therapy as well as Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy. Julie discovered her passion for Occupational Therapy while serving families of children with special needs in the Triangle and in the public-school system.

Julie has had opportunities to work with children with varying diagnoses including Autism, Sensory processing disorder, Downs Syndrome, and intellectual disabilities. She also has clinical experience working with geriatric individuals living with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Julie is passionate about Occupational Therapy’s ability to empower individuals through participation in meaningful activities. She believes in a client-centered approach delivered through creative learning and play opportunities. Julie is committed to helping each child reach their milestones and potential through Occupational Therapy.
