Chelsea was my son’s speech therapist since end of July. He was only able to have 4-5 speech therapy sessions with Chelsea BUT I wanted to let you know that we thought she was really really great! She was super attentive and constantly provided helpful tips for speech development at home, as well as updates on local kid-friendly/educational events. She was very good about providing updates immediately after his session. I really enjoyed having her as his therapist and we were sad to part ways. Even though he cannot continue his therapy, he made really fast progress with her and the tips and resources she provided us will continue to help us at home.

I wanted to let you know how impressed I was with Chelsea’s first session with ‘client’. I decided to observe the session because I needed to get mom to complete some paperwork. I thought Chelsea did a great job establishing rapport, setting up expectations, and demonstrating her expertise in a non-threatening, family friendly way manner.

Melissa came to us and made each visit special for our students. They greeted her with the special song she taught them. Singing enables them to practice their speech and social skills all in the very moment she walked into our classroom.

Melissa understood the true meaning of collaboration and problem solving. We worked and planned lessons to enable the students to practice speech and at the same time sticking to the standard course of studies.

Melissa is the type of therapist who knows the importance of modification and accommodations. Melissa adjusted or coordinated her schedule to work with students in different environments; hence giving them many opportunities to combine speech with hands on experiences. These experiences allowed students to gain greater independence in their natural environment.

As a special education teacher, I must admit that I have not met one like her. Her practice involves whole individuals, family centered, communities centered, collaboration, and hands on approach.

My child is one of many children that Mrs. Cook has helped.  She is very patient and loves to work with children.  My daughter was having problems with social skills and pronunciation with certain letters.  She guided us, me and my child, of the letters that my child should be pronouncing for her age bracket.  She followed up with us and made sure that there were not any problems or concerns.

I wanted to send a quick statement about Chelsea’s work as a speech therapist.  She has been seeing my daughter for about a year and she has advanced her light years in terms of speech progression. She sets reasonable goals for my daughter and works to reach them.  She gives us ideas and exercises to implement in between each session to continue development. She is most  certainly an asset to your company and I’m glad to have met her!
